Earlier this month Ford teased us with a rather imposing looking image of their new 2013 F-Series Super Duty, covered in a dark shroud. And they promised a new trim level. But, all we knew was that they were set to officially unveil it alongside their partners, Professional Bull Riders sometime in the next week. Other than the fierce, upright grille peering out from behind the camouflage, we knew nothing else about the impending release.

Thankfully, we didn't have to wait long, because Ford unleashed the new 2013 F-250 Platinum Super Duty on March 9^th.

Oh, it's fierce alright. But Ford added a lot of chrome to make it stylishly intimidating. The mesh chrome grille and chrome trim of the exterior ride on 20-inch polished aluminum wheels with black inserts. Along with an upgrade MyFord Touch System, Ford has increased the size of the touchscreen from six to eight inches, and added larger buttons to the dash for easy command if drivers are wearing work gloves. The new center stack comes with a media bin that includes a USB port, auxiliary jack, and a/v inputs.

For the outside, buyers can choose between Ruby Red, Kodiak Brown, Tuxedo Black, Ingot Silver and White Platinum. Interior leather choices are Pecan or Midnight Black. The Platinum trim level comes standard with a backup camera, power telescoping side-view mirrors, and a remote start system.

If you're in the market for a truck though, you're probably more curious about the power plant than the leather seats, right? Don't worry, Ford's got you taken care of there, too. The 2013 F-Series Super Duty models will be offered with a 385-hp, 405 lb-ft torque, 6.2-liter gasoline V8 engine; or a 400-hp, 800 lb-ft torque, 6.7-liter Powerstroke turbodiesel engine. Both engines come mated to a six-speed automatic transmission, but buyers can choose between rear- or four-wheel drive.

All of the 2013 Super Duty truck models will roll into Jim Tidwell Ford this fall. We know that seems like a long wait, but as you can see - it's definitely worth it!
